Academy of Veterinary Emergency and Critical care Technicians

The Academy of Veterinary Emergency and Critical care Technicians (AVECCT) is an organization established in the early 1990's whose goal in certifying Veterinary Technicians is to assure the veterinary profession and the public that AVECCT certified technicians possess the knowledge and experience needed to work effectively in a well equipped and staffed emergency or critical care facility. The CARE Center employs two of the three AVECCT certified technicians in the state of Ohio.

American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine

ACVIM has more than 1,400 active members, called ACVIM Diplomates, who are Board-certified specialists. These specialists have dedicated 3 to 6 years of their professional career to advanced training in veterinary medicine. Only veterinarians who have successfully completed ACVIM's rigorous training and testing requirements are certified as Diplomates, and have earned the right to be called Board-certified specialists in veterinary internal medicine.

American College of Veterinary Surgeons

The ACVS is the organization that oversees the process of certifying veterinarians to specialize in veterinary surgery. Members are called Diplomates and have completed training of at least three years beyond the schooling required to earn their Doctor in Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degrees.

American Veterinary Medical Association

The American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), established in 1863, is a not-for-profit association representing more than 67,000 veterinarians working in private and corporate practice, government, industry, academia, and uniformed services. The objective of the Association is to advance the science and art of veterinary medicine, including its relationship to public health, biological science, and agriculture.

Autism Service Dogs of America

In 2002 ASDA pioneered the concept of placing service dogs with autistic children in the United States. ASDA remains the only service dog organization in the United states to specialize in placing service dogs with autistic children exclusively.
