Daniel received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the Ohio State University in 1989. He spent 3 years practicing general small/exotic animal care in the Washington, D.C. area before entering emergency practice in 1992. He has since been focusing on emergency medicine exclusively, first in Alexandria, V.A. and most recently at the Emergency Veterinary Clinic of Cincinnati. His special interests lie in critical care and exotic animal medicine. Daniel is a Cincinnati native and alumnus of Walnut Hills High School and Miami University.
Douglas Hoffman, DVM
Doug received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the Ohio State University in 1993. He practiced small animal medicine in Cincinnati for 5 years before leaving general practice for emergency medicine. Enjoying the challenges of critical care medicine, Dr. Hoffman practiced for two years at the Emergency Veterinary Clinic of Cincinnati before helping to create the CARE Center, where his special interest is trauma care. Doug is a native Cincinnatian, graduating from St. Xavier High School and Xavier University.
Sharmila Ruparel, DVM
Sharm received her B.S. and Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the Ohio State University. She practiced small animal medicine in Toledo, Ohio before moving to Cincinnati in 1995 to work at the Emergency Veterinary Clinic of Cincinnati. In 1998, she moved to Great Falls, V.A. briefly to work at a small animal practice before returning to the EVCOC in 1999. Her chief interest and passion lie in emergency medicine.
Kristi Baker, DVM
Dr. Kristi Baker is a 2003 graduate of Ross University School of
Veterinary Medicine. After graduation, she joined a small animal
practice in Northern Ohio for two years before returning to her home town in Northern Kentucky. Appreciating her keen interest in trauma care, she joined the CARE Center team in 2005.
Debra Bishop, DVM
Dr. Debra Bishop is a 1988 graduate of the Ohio State University (O.S.U.) College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Bishop continued her education with an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at West Los Angesles Veterinary Group. Since then, Deb has continued to work in emergency medicine at 3 referral and emergency clinics, including MedVet, and O.S.U. before joining CARE Center's team in 2006. Deb enjoys riding and taking care of her own horses.
Anne Browne , DVM
Anne graduated from the Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2005. After completing an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Purdue University, she joined the CARE Center in 2006. She enjoys the challenge and pace of emergency medicine and the opportunity to provide high quality medicine to the most critical of patients.
Rebecca Hall, DVM
Rebecca received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2004. She then joined the team at the CARE Center in pursuit of a career in emergency medicine and critical care. Her interests lie in trauma, ER surgery, pain management and exotics. Outside the CARE Center she spends time with her two Australian Shepherds.
Rae Neumann, DVM
Rae received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the
Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine. She worked first in a small animal private practice in central Pennsylvania before moving to Cincinnati to be closer to family.
Rae enjoys emergency medicine and the opportunity to provide high-end medicine to her patients and clients. Her favorite cases are feline diabetics. She is currently owned by eight cats and three dogs. Her hobbies include gardening, vegetarian cooking, volunteering with animal shelters, and home improvement projects.
Matt Noble , DVM
Matt is a 2004 graduate of The Ohio State University College of
Veterinary Medicine. Since graduation, he has been practicing in
Emergency / Critical care environments. He initially practiced in the
Washington D.C. area, and has been at the CARE Center since July of 2005, enjoying the variety of challenges that emergency medicine presents. Matt is a native of Oxford, OH and a graduate of Miami University.
Joe Ranz , DVM
Dr. Ranz received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from The Ohio State University in 2005. He spent a year in the Cincinnati area
practicing small animal medicine before joining the CARE Center's
Emergency Department in 2006. His interests lie in emergency medicine, radiology, and pain management. He is a native Cincinnatian and a graduate of St. Xavier High School.
Amy Snyder, DVM
Amy received her DVM from the University of Minnesota in 1994. She stayed at the University until 1999, completing an internship in small animal medicine and surgery, and practicing as an emergency/critical care veterinarian in the University's teaching hospital. A native of Cincinnati and alumnus of Walnut Hills High School, Amy returned to Cincinnati in 2000. She joined the emergency staff of the CARE Center in July 2001.

We employ only the most qualified nurses and assistants to provide our patients with the best critical care. We have the only board-certified emergency and critical care veterinary nurses in the city, and in fact employ 65% of all the board-certified critical care technicians in the state of Ohio.
