Beth is another Cincinnati native, born and raised in Clifton. She attended Walnut Hills High School before obtaining both her BS and DVM from Ohio State University. She then moved to South Florida to do her internship at Veterinary Specialists of South Florida. She spent the following three years completeing a residency in Internal Medicine at Oklahoma State Universty. She is happy to be living in Cincinnati again!
Kelly graduated from University of California at Davis with a Bachelor of Science degree in microbiology. She then received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Michigan State University in 2000. Upon graduation, she completed a one year small animal medicine and surgery internship at Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Wang pursued further training and completed a 3 year residency and master’s program in small animal internal medicine at Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Her research during her master’s program involved the study of canine urogenital tract using urocystoscopy. Dr. Wang is board certified in small animal internal medicine and is a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine. Dr. Wang’s special interests include pancreatitis, gastrointestinal diseases, and endocrinopathies.
Dr. Erick Mears has been treating hyperthyroid cats since 1993 and is one of just two doctors who travel the country for the specialty. He is the only such doctor, who is board certified in Internal Medicine. Dr. Mears has treated more than 2,000 patients with Radioiodine I-131. His I-CAT Feline Thyroid Treatment Centers can be found throughout the United States, including the CARE Center in Cincinnati. Dr. Mears received his Bachelors of Science from Stanford University in 1988. He received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Tuskegee University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1992. He completed his post-DVM education at the University of Tennessee with small animal internship, internal medicine residency and Associate Professor in 1997.
