A native of Shepherdsville, KY, Joli has finally returned home to the Mid-west and joined the CARE Center family in May, 2007. Upon graduating from the Auburn College of Veterinary Medicine in 1993, Joli spent a year in private practice in Mount Washington, KY then 2 years in a 24 hr referral emergency veterinary hospital as an emergency veterinarian in Fort Pierce, FL. She then began her 3 year neurology residency at the University of Missouri-Columbia. After completing her residency in 1999, she stayed on as a clinical instructor overseeing the neurology/neurosurgical practice. She also assisted in the instruction of students, interns, and residents in neurology/neurosurgery at UMC before accepting a position at a busy referral multi specialty veterinary hospital in Houston, Texas in 2001. She remained in Houston for nearly 3 years during which time she successfully passed her neurology certification boards. In 2003 she joined a neurology-only veterinary hospital in Las Vegas, Nevada. While there, Joli was involved in the training of 2 spectacular neurology residents, both of whom have gone on to become diplomats in the college of veterinary neurology. Joli has presented lectures at both the local and national level, as well as co-authored several book chapters and scientific articles pertaining to veterinary neurology. She was also the recipient of the 2003 College of Veterinary Medicine, Auburn University Young Achiever’s Award as well as the 2006 Distinguished Alumni Award from Eastern Kentucky University Department of Agriculture’s College of Business and Technology. Her passion lies in all aspects of neuro-surgery with a particular interest in brain and cervical neuro-surgery.
