Karina received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Texas A&M University in 1993. She completed a small animal medicine and surgery internship at the University of Missouri, before completing a residency and Master's Degree Program in Oncology at Colorado State University. In 1997, Dr. Valerius became Board Certified by the ACVIM, Specialty of Oncology. In 1997, she joined the faculty at Ohio State University Teaching Hospital instructing Internal Medicine, Hematology and Oncology. In 1999, she moved to Cincinnati and has been practicing Internal Medicine and Oncology in the Cincinnati and Dayton area. Karina has a special interest in hematology, oncology, and radiation therapy.
