Radiation Oncology
Dave Denman, PhD (Assoc. Professor Radiation Oncology) recently joined the CARE Center’s oncology team to direct the radiation therapy treatment center as well as administer treatment to the patients. Dr. Denman received his doctorate at a human university medical center specifically in the twin fields of therapeutic and diagnostic radiology. He served as an assoc. professor of radiation oncology at the University of Cincinnati medical center for roughly 20 years. Much of his work during his tenure there involved designing and administering curative intent radiation therapy to veterinary cancer patients referred to him. He provided this therapy beginning in 1983 when he had a radiation therapy unit installed there primarily for treatment of veterinary patients. In 1999 he began heading the radiation therapy unit for the Animal Medical Center in New York City where he treated animals until joining the CARE Center.
